Robyn Rihanna popularly known as Rihanna in Barbados, is an Barbadian performer and musician who has released hits songs like Pon de Replay Umbrella SOS and Take a Bow. An extremely successful performer in the prime of her youth she has already sold more than the sum of 41 million album and over 150 million songs worldwide becoming one of the top-selling performers ever. Barbados born, she first listened to reggae as she grew and then began singing by herself, when she was in her teens. Due to the chaos that surrounded her family as well as the disputes her parents were having, she turned to music. Then she realized that she wanted to pursue a career as a performer. In high school, she started a group of musicians and had the opportunity to meet music producer Evan Rodgers. He was impressed with her talent. The producer requested that she move to New York and pursue a performing career that was full-time. Rihanna happily accepted. Her debut album was soon released and Rihanna became a hit with the public in no time. The songs of Rihanna were favorites among the young who pushed her into the world of film. Young and talented, Rihanna is now regarded as a teenage idol and a fashion idol. Rihanna is also involved in donating to charities and making use of her fame.
