Bella Poarch born in Philippines on February 9, 1997. Her parents are Filipino parents. Her grandmother grew up in slums until she was three years old when she was adopted. Her adoptive father is white American with a military background, while her adoptive mother is Filipino. She says that her as well as her brother, adopted as infants, were subject to abuse until they enlisted. Her family traveled from San Francisco for a few months to live with her aunt before moving to Texas when she was thirteen due to her father's requirement to have a bypass procedure. Physical abuse stopped however, the father continued to emotionally abuse her at home. In the year she turned 18, Poarch enlisted into the United States Navy. Poarch started her TikTok page in April of 2020. In just 8 months, she had amassed nearly 40 million followers. The account was home to a variety of videos. Her biggest success was a music video to Millie B's popular hit track Soph Aspin Send. This zoomed video, which showed her lip-syncing and jumping into the tune in synchronized to the song, became all over the internet. In the months after joining TikTok she created her own YouTube and Twitter account to capitalize on the fame. Poarch's rising fame peaked in the month of December, 2020. Two major Esports professional clubs were said to be interested in her. 100 Thieves as well as FaZe Clan expressed interest in having her hired to create content for their respective brand names.
